Barrington Automation RD-2 Rotary Drive Actuator

The Barrington Automation RD-2 Rotary Drive Actuator is a compact pneumatic rotary drive that provides 0–180° of rotation with a 0.75" bore and delivers roughly 12 in-lbs of torque at 80 psi. It uses two sealed ball bearings near the ends for rigidity and employs built‑in stop screws that engage a hardened pin to eliminate backlash; end stops can decelerate with cushions or shocks when specified, and the stop screws are compatible with sensing switches. The unit weighs about 2 lb, uses a 10-32 air connection, and operates on compressed air in the 60–100 psi range; it’s rated for up to 5–6 million cycles, with maximum radial and axial bearing loads of 8 lb and 12 lb respectively.
