Description:

The Basler RA-70MDCN8 Reference Adjuster Module is a microprocessor-based, behind-the-panel setpoint adjuster that replaces motor-operated potentiometers in Basler regulation gear and control boxes. It provides a solid-state method to adjust the control input for Basler AVRs, SSEs, and other Basler regulators, and includes a 0–1 mA output that drives a position indicator to show the current setpoint. Local adjustments are made via front-panel pushbuttons (RAISE and LOWER), while an external control contact can trigger the same actions; a Program function limits operation to the front panel switch when required. The RA-70 is compatible with Basler equipment including Shunt Static Exciter-Regulators (SSE), SSR family regulators, SR-A/SR-E/SR-H/SR-F series, APR regulators, AVC63-12 and AVC125-10 regulators, and MVC manual voltage controls, and can interface with system controllers such as EL-200, SCP-250, and UFOV-260. For installation, it is convection-cooled and intended for vertical mounting in switchgear or control boxes behind the panel. Available variants provide different output resistance values to suit rheostat or potentiometer-ended controls; part-number-dependent options range from around 1.0 kΩ to 175 kΩ. The RA-70 supports precise, repeatable setpoint adjustment across Basler automation and power-control applications.
