Basler Electric BE1-25 79S Solid State Reclosing Relay
Basler Electric BE1-25 79S Solid State Reclosing Relay
Description:
Basler Electric BE1-25 79S Sync-Check/Single Shot Reclosing Relay is a solid‑state protective relay that provides automatic reclosing of a tripped circuit breaker. It operates with the breaker’s Form B auxiliary contact to detect the breaker's position and uses a reclose initiate (RI) signal from the protective system to permit reclosing. A reclose cancel (RC) signal can inhibit automatic reclosing; RC must be present at least 8 milliseconds before it is recognized. After the breaker opens, the RESET indicator goes out and the relay compares sensed line and bus voltages against a minimum voltage limit of 80 Vac; if either voltage falls below this threshold, a preselected reclose timer period is started. If the breaker is still open and RC is not present at the end of the timer, the relay proceeds with a reclose attempt according to the Sync-Check/Single Shot reclosing logic. The BE1-25/79S thus combines Sync-Check timing to confirm voltages are suitable before closing in, with a single-shot reclosing sequence intended to restore service after transient faults, making it suitable for integration with Basler Electric protection schemes in transmission and distribution installations.
