Baumer CFAM 12P1600/S14 is a flush-mount capacitive proximity sensor with a 12 mm cylindrical housing designed for non-contact detection of non-conductive media. It delivers a 4 mm nominal sensing distance (adjustable from 0.5 to 4 mm) and uses a PNP make function (NO) output, powered by a 10–30 V DC supply with a maximum no-load current of 20 mA and an output current capability of up to 200 mA with a voltage drop under 1.5 V. An LED output indicator provides quick status feedback, and sensitivity can be tuned via a 240° potentiometer. The unit has a brass nickel-plated housing, 76 mm in length, and M12 connectivity, suitable for flush mounting in compact automation footprints. It is rated IP65 for rugged industrial environments and operates from -25 to +75 °C, with protection features including short-circuit and reverse-polarity safeguards.
