Baumer CFDK 25G3125 LN3 Capacitive Proximity Sensor

Baumer CFDK 25G3125/LN3 is a 4 mm nominal sensing distance capacitive proximity sensor with flush mounting in a rectangular PA12 housing (25 mm wide, 52.4 mm long, 6 mm deep) designed for non-contact level sensing through container walls. It detects non-conductive media for fill-level monitoring through containers, not for liquids in direct contact with the sensor, and provides through-wall sensing with an IP65 enclosure and a 10–30 V DC supply. It draws about 15 mA no-load and up to 100 mA under load, with a push-pull output configured as active-low and a voltage drop below 3 V DC, enabling reliable sinking of loads up to 100 mA. The device switches at roughly 35 Hz, includes short-circuit and reverse-polarity protection, and uses a PVC cable with 3 conductors (0.14 mm²) and 2 m length. Operating temperature range is -25 to +75 °C, making it suitable for industrial environments requiring through-container level detection and a compact form factor.
