Baumer CH-8501 Color Sensor

Baumer CH-8501 is a compact retro-reflective photoelectric sensor that detects flat or patterned targets by reflection from a mounted reflector, eliminating contact-based sensing in packaging, printing, and automation lines. The unit uses a pulsed red 660 nm LED and provides a PNP (sourcing) output with light/dark operation, in a through-hole mount with an M8 4‑pin connector. It operates from 10 to 30 VDC, drawing about 25 mA (30 mA max no-load) with an output current rating under 100 mA and built-in short-circuit and reverse-polarity protection. The housing measures about 14.8 mm wide, 43 mm high and 31 mm deep, constructed from ASA/MABS plastic with a PMMA front, and is rated IP67 for dust and water protection; operating temperature is -25 to +65 °C.
