Baumer Electric GmbH FPDM 16P5101 S14 Photoelectric Sensor

Baumer FPDM 16P5101/S14 is a retro-reflective photoelectric sensor housed in a die-cast zinc enclosure (15.4 mm wide, 50 mm high, 50 mm deep) with a PMMA front, designed to detect objects by reflections from a separate reflector. It provides a PNP output and operates on 10–30 V DC, drawing about 26 mA (max 36 mA) with an output current under 200 mA and a voltage drop under 1.8 V; the sensor uses a 660 nm pulsed red LED, with nominal sensing range Sn of 8.5 m and actual range Sb of 7.3 m, and includes a polarization filter and a yellow LED indicator. Connections are via an M12 4‑pin connector, it offers light/dark operate modes, has a response time under 1 ms, and is IP67 rated for -25 to +65 C environments; note that a reflector must be ordered separately for operation.
