Baumer Electric IWRM 30U9501 Inductive Sensor
Baumer Electric IWRM 30U9501 Inductive Sensor
Description:
Baumer IWRM 30U9501 is a cylindrical M30 inductive distance measuring sensor that provides an analog voltage output for continuous position sensing of ferrous targets. It measures 5 to 10 mm (Sd) with a reference distance of 7.1 to 7.9 mm, enabling precise non-contact positioning in compact spaces. The sensor operates on 15 to 30 V DC supply, with an output circuit of 0–9 V and a load resistance greater than 1 kΩ; it uses a 2 m cable and is rated IP67 for protection against dust and water. Its housing is brass nickel-plated with a PBT sensing face, and it has a 30 mm diameter and 60 mm long body designed for flush mounting. In performance terms, it offers a repeat accuracy of 0.02 mm, linearity error of ±200 µm, and a measuring speed under 1.5 mm per millisecond. The device draws up to 20 mA no-load and maintains operation from 0 to +60 °C. The model is catalogued as 10243232 and is part of Baumer’s IWRM line of inductive distance sensors, with a tightening torque maximum of 140 Nm (front) and 200 Nm total. The combination of compact form factor, robust IP67 housing, and analog 1–9 V output makes the IWRM 30U9501 suitable for precise, non-contact position monitoring in automated machinery and tooling setups where metal targets are present.
