Baumer IFRM 12N1701/S14L is a compact, cylindrical inductive proximity sensor designed for flush mounting with a 12 mm housing and a 50 mm length. It offers a nominal sensing distance of 4 mm with a hysteresis range of 3–20% of Sn, and an integrated three-segment red LED output indicator. The sensor operates on a DC supply from 6 to 36 V and provides a single NPN normally-open (NO) switching output, rated up to 200 mA with a voltage drop under 2 V; it also includes short-circuit and reverse-polarity protection for reliable performance in demanding environments. Built with a brass nickel-plated housing and a PBT sensing face, the IFRM 12N1701/S14L uses an M12 connection and is rated IP67 for protection against dust and water ingress, with an operating temperature range of -25 to +75 °C.
