Beckhoff Automation BK9103 Bus Coupler Module

Beckhoff BK9103 Bus Coupler translates PROFINET RT data into Beckhoff's modular, extendable electronic terminal blocks, enabling seamless integration of KL/KS terminal I/O into a PROFINET network. It is designed for 35 mm DIN rail mounting and measures 51 mm wide, 100 mm high, and 69 mm deep, with IP20 protection and EN 60715-compliant mounting. The device sits between a PROFINET controller and Beckhoff terminal blocks, supporting up to 100 m distance between the switch/hub and the bus coupler. It provides 512 bytes of input and 512 bytes of output data on the fieldbus, suitable for typical I/O tasks in automation systems. Weighing about 170 g, the BK9103 offers a compact footprint for panel- or cabinet-mounted installations. For configuration, a PROFINET GSDML file is available, enabling straightforward integration with standard industrial controllers and enabling proper mapping of Beckhoff terminals to the PROFINET network.
