Beckhoff EK1100-0000 EtherCAT Bus Coupler is the interface that links the EtherCAT fieldbus to Beckhoff EtherCAT Terminals, forming the central station of an EtherCAT I/O setup. In a single EtherCAT station, the EK1100 works with any number of EtherCAT Terminals and a bus end terminal, distributing EtherCAT data over the E-bus and using a 100BASE-TX Ethernet link. The EK1100 can be placed anywhere along the EtherCAT network’s Ethernet signal path (except directly at a switch) and serves as the link between the EtherCAT protocol and the terminal bus.
