Beckhoff Automation EK1914 EtherCAT Fieldbus Terminal

The Beckhoff EK1914 TwinSAFE EtherCAT bus coupler combines standard digital I/O and safety I/O in a single module for Beckhoff's EtherCAT Terminal system. It provides 4 standard inputs, 4 standard outputs, and 2 safe inputs plus 2 safe outputs, enabling both normal process I/O and safety-related I/O on one device. The unit connects to the EtherCAT fieldbus via two RJ45 ports and is powered from a 24 V DC (PELV) supply (−15%/+20%), with EtherCAT device protocol at 100 Mbaud and a maximum 100 m cable length between bus couplers on a 100BASE-TX link. By integrating TwinSAFE safety logic with standard I/O, EK1914 supports safety applications such as emergency-stop circuits, guard monitoring, and safe output control within Beckhoff's EtherCAT I/O ecosystem, and is designed to work with EK1100-based configurations.
