Beckhoff EL1088 is an EtherCAT digital input terminal with eight independent 24 V DC inputs. Each channel features a 3 ms input filter and is configured as sinking (NPN) – ground-switched inputs designed for direct connection of 24 V sensors. As part of Beckhoff’s EL10xx digital input family, the EL1088 communicates over the EtherCAT fieldbus and integrates with TwinCAT automation software for synchronized, high-speed sensor readings. Typical applications include reading proximity switches, mechanical limit switches, and other 24 V DC sensors in industrial automation, packaging lines, and machine control panels.
