Beckhoff Automation EL1809 Digital Input Module

Beckhoff EL1809 is a 16‑channel EtherCAT digital input terminal that accepts 24 V DC field signals and transmits them to the master in an electrically isolated form. It features a 3 ms input filter and provides 16 input bits in the process image, with electrical isolation up to 500 V between field and E‑bus. Typical input current per channel is 3 mA, with power‑contacts drawing about 4 mA plus the connected load, and the unit weighs roughly 65 g. Conductor options include solid wires (0.08–1.5 mm²) for direct‑plug connections, and stranded wires or ferrules (0.25–1.5 mm²; ferrules 0.14–0.75 mm²) with spring‑actuation; configuration is performed in TwinCAT System Manager and does not require a separate address setting.
