Beckhoff Automation EP2338-0001 EtherCAT Box IO Module

Beckhoff EP2338-0001 EtherCAT Box IO Module is an eight-channel digital combi device designed for compact field installation in EtherCAT networks. Each of the eight channels can be configured as either input or output and is rated for a maximum of 0.5 A per channel while operating at 24 V DC. The module sources sensor power from the peripheral supply (U_P) rather than the controller supply, a characteristic that supports distributed I/O in smaller control cabinets. Field connections use M8 connectors (4-pin type) for robust, vibration-tolerant wiring suitable for industrial environments. With an announced per-channel switching time of 10 μs, EP2338-0001 enables responsive control of digital signals such as limit switches, valve actuators, and general I/O on compact EtherCAT boxes.
