The Beckhoff EK1100 EtherCAT Coupler is the standard interface that links EtherCAT Terminals (ELxxxx/ESxxxx/EMxxxx) to a 100 Mbit/s EtherCAT network. It provides two RJ45 sockets for daisy-chaining, is housed for IP20 protection, and supports 100BASE-TX EtherCAT communication with a maximum distance of 100 m between bus couplers. This package includes a 24 V DC power supply and the EL9011 End Plate used to terminate the EtherCAT bus in a typical one-station setup. In a complete setup, one station consists of the EK1100, any number of EtherCAT Terminals, and a bus end terminal such as EL9011.
