Beckhoff Automation KL1488 Digital Input Module

Beckhoff KL1488 is an 8-channel digital input terminal for 24 V DC signals, designed as a ground-switching (negative switching) module in the KL1xxx digital input family. It accepts eight independent 24 V DC inputs and transmits their states to the host controller with galvanic isolation, enabling reliable communication between field devices and the control system. The module is specified to respond within 3 ms, providing fast, real-time visibility of input changes for high-speed automation tasks. LEDs on the module offer per-channel status indication to assist diagnostics and wiring verification. As a component of Beckhoff’s Bus Terminal system, the KL1488 integrates with standard Beckhoff fieldbus or EtherCAT setups, allowing compact, high-density I/O consolidation on a single bus and simplifying wiring for sensors, switches, and other 24 V DC devices.
