Beckhoff Automation ZS9100-0003 Shielding Hood

Beckhoff ZS9100-0003 Shielding Hood is an optional EMC accessory for the ELMxxxx EtherCAT measurement housing, designed to form a closed metallic enclosure with the terminal to shield against external interference while ensuring secure, conductive contact between incoming cables and the braided shield. It does not affect the visibility of the LED displays on the terminal and supports one to four signal lines with shield diameters up to about 7 mm (roughly 9 mm outer diameter). Technical data: weight about 190 g; dimensions 26 x 145 x 93 mm (W x H x D) with an effective width after mounting of 74 mm; permissible ambient temperature range during operation and storage is -40 to +85 °C; protection class IP20; installation position is variable; CE-approved. The scope of supply includes the shielding hood, screws, and tie wraps. For installation, lever off the ELM housing covers, slide on the shield connection, and fasten with three screws; a fourth hole is provided for a PE connection if required. The shielding hood helps stabilize temperature around the measuring points for thermocouple (TC) and RTD measurements, reducing thermal turbulence and potential measurement error in temperature sensing applications.
