Beckhoff BK2020 EtherCAT I O Terminal Modules

Beckhoff BK2020 is an Economy-plus Lightbus bus coupler that bridges Beckhoff’s Lightbus fieldbus with modular electronic terminal blocks, enabling scalable I/O expansion in Beckhoff automation systems. In full deployment, the BK2020 can process up to 1020 digital signals and 128 analog input/output channels per slave, making it suitable for large, mixed I/O configurations. The Lightbus network uses a ring topology, allowing up to 254 stations to operate in a single ring for compact, high-density wiring in industrial environments. As a link between the Lightbus backbone and the terminal modules, BK2020 serves as the central interface that supports easy expansion of digital and analog I/O within Beckhoff’s modular I/O ecosystem.
