Beckhoff CX1010-0012 Embedded PC Controller Module

The Beckhoff CX1010-0012 is the basic CPU module of Beckhoff’s CX Embedded PC family, designed for DIN-rail mounting and powered via the CX1100 power-supply modules. It runs Windows Embedded CE 6.0 and ships with TwinCAT 2 NC PTP motion-control runtime, making it a compact, motion-capable controller for small-to-mid-size automation tasks. The module features a 500 MHz Pentium MMX-class processor and 256 MB DDR RAM, and its design is fanless to simplify installation in industrial enclosures. A PC/104 bus interface provides a straightforward expansion path, with the internal PC/104 bus accessible through the CX system interfaces so additional CX modules—IO blocks or fieldbus gateways—can be connected to build a complete CX-based control system. Maximum power dissipation is specified up to 8 W including CX1010-N0xx system interfaces, supporting compact DIN-rail power budgeting. The CX1010-0012 is intended as the core computational element of a modular Beckhoff CX installation and is designed to work within the CX ecosystem of I/O, power, and CX accessories to deliver a compact, fanless control solution on top-hat rail installations.
