Beckhoff EL1008-0000 Digital Input Terminal Module

Beckhoff EL1008-0000 is an EtherCAT digital input terminal with eight channels that collects 24 V DC sensor signals and transmits them to the EtherCAT bus in an electrically isolated form. It features a 3 ms input filter for debouncing, enabling reliable readings from pushbuttons, switches, and similar binary sensors. Each input draws about 2 mA plus the connected load, while the E-bus side requires roughly 90 mA; the module provides 500 V isolation between field signals and the bus and carries an IP20 protection rating for indoor cabinet installation. Wiring supports 0.14–1.5 mm² conductors on the input side and 0.08–1.5 mm² conductors on the field side. The EL1008-0000 is CE, UL, and Ex approved and is part of Beckhoff’s EL1xxx digital input family for EtherCAT I/O, delivering a compact eight-channel solution with a 3 ms response time. Operating temperature ranges from -25 to +60 °C (storage -40 to +85 °C) with up to 95% relative humidity (non-condensing) and a weight of approximately 55 g.
