Beckhoff EL1809 is a 16‑channel EtherCAT digital input terminal for 24 V DC sensors that mounts on a DIN rail. It features a 3 ms input filter and typically draws about 3 mA per input, with 500 V isolation between field side and the EtherCAT bus. The module accepts solid 0.08–1.5 mm², stranded 0.25–1.5 mm², or ferrule 0.14–0.75 mm² conductors, weighs about 65 g, and provides 16 input bits in the process image. Operating temperature is -25 to 60 °C and it is IP20‑protected; configuration is via TwinCAT System Manager (no address setting).
