Beckhoff EL1819 Remote IO EtherCAT Terminal Module
Beckhoff EL1819 Remote IO EtherCAT Terminal Module
Description:
Beckhoff EL1819 is a high-density EtherCAT Terminal that provides 16 digital input channels for 24 V DC signals, all in a compact 12 mm-wide HD module designed for Beckhoff's EtherCAT I/O system. The terminal uses 1-Wire connection technology and exposes a 16-bit input image, with an input filter of 10 µs to suppress chatter on fast-changing signals. It accepts a nominal supply of 24 V DC with a tolerance of -15% to +20% and offers galvanic isolation between the E-bus and the field side up to 500 V, enabling robust performance in industrial environments. Configuration is performed via TwinCAT System Manager, with no separate addressing required for the module. The EL1819 supports solid, stranded, and ferrule conductors, with direct plug-in termination for solid wires and spring-clamp actuation for stranded wires or ferrules; allowable cross-sections are solid 0.08–1.5 mm², stranded 0.25–1.5 mm², and ferrules 0.14–0.75 mm². With 16 input bits in the process image and EN 61131-2 Type 1/3 compliance, this terminal is well-suited for distributed digital input tasks such as sensing switches, photoelectric sensors, and other digital signals in automated machinery, distributed I/O cabinets, or remote sensor networks within EtherCAT ecosystems.
