Beckhoff EL2612 EtherCAT Digital Input Terminal

Beckhoff EL2612 EtherCAT Terminal is a two-channel relay-output module for EtherCAT networks, delivering isolated, change-over contacts to switch field loads. Each channel provides a SPDT (change-over) relay with potential-free contacts, while the power pins L and N are not passed through to the contacts, preserving isolation between the control side and the load side. The element is rated for up to 125 V AC or 30 V DC, with contact currents specified as 0.5 A AC and 2 A DC per channel. LEDs on the module indicate the status of each relay, enabling quick diagnostics in the control cabinet. The EL2612 is part of Beckhoff’s EL26xx family of digital output terminals and integrates with EtherCAT networks as a standard slave device. This makes it suitable for reliably switching small actuators, signaling devices, or other auxiliary loads in automated systems, while keeping the control logic and the field wiring electrically isolated for safety and reliability.
