Beckhoff EL3011 Digital Input Terminal Module

Beckhoff EL3011 is a single-channel EtherCAT analog input terminal that accepts a 0…20 mA current signal and converts it to a 12‑bit digital value for the PLC. This differential input channel provides galvanic isolation because the input ground is not connected to the terminal’s power contacts, helping reject noise in industrial environments. As part of Beckhoff's EL30xx family, the EL3011 integrates with Beckhoff's EtherCAT I/O system to deliver precise current measurements directly on the fieldbus. With 12-bit resolution (0–4095 counts) the module offers fine granularity for monitoring sensor currents, making it suitable for process control, test benches, and automated machinery where current-mode sensors are used. The compact, plug-in terminal supports standard Beckhoff cabling and diagnostics via the EtherCAT interface, enabling straightforward integration into existing Beckhoff control architectures.
