Beckhoff EL3162 EtherCAT Terminal is a two‑channel analog input module for 0–10 V signals with 16‑bit resolution, designed for single‑ended operation within Beckhoff’s EtherCAT I/O system. Each channel accepts a 0–10 V process signal and the module communicates data to the controller over EtherCAT for fast, synchronized measurements. The unit mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail (EN 60715) and measures roughly 15 mm wide by 100 mm high by 70 mm deep, with the width aligned to 12 mm for compact installation. It is powered via the standard EtherCAT bus with dedicated +24 V and 0 V power contacts and provides shield connection on the terminal, supporting reliable operation in industrial environments. The EL3162 carries IP20 protection and is designed for integration with Beckhoff’s TwinCAT software for configuration, data acquisition, and control tasks. With its two channels, the module enables precise monitoring of analog sensors and transducers in automation, process control, and test benches, delivering a total of 65,536 discrete levels per channel to support fine-grained measurement accuracy in compact form factors.
