Beckhoff EL3204 4-Channel Analog Input RTD Pt100 EtherCAT Terminal

Beckhoff EL3204 is a four-channel EtherCAT Terminal that directly interfaces Pt100 RTD sensors for temperature on two of its inputs, while two additional channels accept -10 V to +10 V signals. The module operates with 12-bit resolution per channel in a single-ended configuration and supports 2-wire RTD operation for Pt100 sensors, with LEDs and process-image status bits signaling each channel’s measurement capability. Two channels are dedicated to Pt100 RTDs, enabling direct resistance-based temperature sensing in compact automation cabinets, while the remaining two channels provide flexible voltage input for calibration, monitoring, or auxiliary signals in the same EtherCAT node. The EL3204 is designed to integrate into Beckhoff’s EtherCAT I/O system and works alongside TwinCAT software for synchronized data exchange, making it suitable for temperature monitoring in industrial processes, machine automation, and HVAC or environmental sensing scenarios.
