Beckhoff EL3214 is a 4-channel EtherCAT analog input terminal designed for direct connection of Pt100 RTDs in a 3-wire configuration, delivering 16-bit resolution per channel. Each channel permanently drives its own measuring current (approximately 100 µA), enabling four RTD sensors to be read over a single EtherCAT bus. The module fits a 12 mm-wide EL base and mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail (EN 60715); its footprint is approximately 15 mm wide by 100 mm high by 70 mm deep, with IP20 protection. As part of Beckhoff’s EL32xx analog input family, variants such as EL3214-0090 add TwinSAFE single-channel functionality for safety-integrated RTD measurements.
