Beckhoff EL4028 EtherCAT Terminal Analog Output
Beckhoff EL4028 EtherCAT Terminal Analog Output
Description:
Beckhoff EL4028 EtherCAT Terminal is an eight-channel analog output module that provides independent 4–20 mA current outputs for real-time control over an EtherCAT network. Each channel delivers a 12-bit value to drive a 4–20 mA loop device, enabling precise multi-channel control of actuators and sensors in automated systems. As a member of Beckhoff's EL40xx series, the EL4028 plugs into a Beckhoff EtherCAT I/O system and can be configured with TwinCAT for automated mapping and monitoring of outputs. The 4–20 mA signaling format is widely used for industrial process control, instrumentation, and factory automation, supporting standard field devices that convert a current into a proportional process variable. The EL4028 therefore enables scalable, distributed analog output across machines and lines, helping to implement complex control schemes with synchronized, high-resolution current outputs. Its compact eight-channel design allows parallel control of multiple actuators across a single EtherCAT terminal rail, reducing cabinet wiring and enabling scalable deployment in modern factories.
