Beckhoff el9512 24 V DC Power Supply Terminal

Beckhoff EL9512 is a power-supply terminal for the EL95xx EtherCAT terminal family that converts a 24 V DC input into a regulated 12 V DC output capable of delivering up to 0.5 A to field devices in an automation network. The output is stabilised at 12 V DC with a tolerance of ±1% and a residual ripple below 5 mV, while the module draws about 90 mA from the E-bus. It provides 500 V isolation between the E-bus and the field potential, enabling safe distribution of power to sensors and actuators within Beckhoff installations. Note that the input and output share a common reference inside the terminal (they are not electrically isolated from each other), even though isolation exists between the E-bus and the field side. The EL9512 supports integrated diagnostics in the process image and includes an overcurrent LED indicator for fault visibility. With a weight of approximately 65 g and an operating temperature range of 0 to +55 °C (storage -25 to +85 °C), it is designed as a compact, reliable 12 V power feed in distributed I/O setups. This device is typically used to supply 12 V DC power to field devices such as sensors or small actuators within EtherCAT networks, and it complements other Beckhoff power-supply terminals like EL9505, EL9508, EL9510, and EL9515 to form a complete power distribution scheme for the PLC system.
