Beckhoff EP2338-0002 EtherCAT Box is an eight-channel digital combi module that can be used as digital inputs or outputs, operating from a 24 V DC supply with a per-channel current rating of 0.5 A. No configuration is required to set each channel as input or output; the input circuit is internally connected to the output driver so a commanded state is automatically reflected in the input process image. The module delivers fast 10 µs switching and uses M12 signal connectors (5-pin, A-coded) for reliable digital I/O in industrial environments. For diagnostics, overload on the sensor supply is indicated by the red LED U_S when current exceeds the 0.5 A limit.
