Beckhoff KL1418 is an 8-channel digital input bus terminal for 24 V DC signals, designed to acquire binary process-level inputs and transmit them galvanically isolated to the higher-level automation unit. Each of its eight channels is monitored via LEDs, and the terminal uses a 1-wire connection with EN 61131-2, type 1/3 input specification, delivering fast response thanks to a 0.2 ms input filter. Nominal voltage is 24 V DC (-15%/+20%), with an input current of typ 3 mA per channel and a typ 5 mA current consumption on the K-bus.
