Beckhoff KL2184 4 Channel Digital Output Terminal

Beckhoff KL2184 is a 4-channel digital output terminal designed for the Beckhoff Bus Terminal system, delivering four 24 V DC ground-switching outputs rated at 0.5 A per channel. Each channel supports load types including ohmic, inductive, and lamp loads, with reverse voltage protection and short-circuit protection, and a per-channel short-circuit current of less than 7 A. The module operates at a nominal 24 V DC (-15%/+20%) and provides 500 V electrical isolation between the K-bus/field potential, helping protect the control system from field faults. It uses 2-/3-wire connection technology and includes LED indicators to show the signal state of each channel. The breaking energy per channel is under 100 mJ, and the terminal is built to reliably relay binary control signals from the automation unit to actuators at the process level while maintaining galvanic isolation.
