Beckman Coulter ODL21138 Twin Gripper Decapper is a dual-module cap-removal station for Beckman Coulter automation platforms that decaps 13 mm tubes (75 or 100 mm) using rubber or plastic Hemogard-type caps, removing caps without generating hazardous aerosols and directing them into a biohazard container. The system comprises a Primary Decapper and a Secondary Decapper; each module measures 1,355 mm high, 400 mm wide, and 350 mm deep and weighs 55 kg (53.4 in × 15.8 in × 13.8 in; 121.3 lb). The Non-Centrifuge Outlet module extends the workflow with external dimensions of 1,355 mm high, 800 mm wide, and 670 mm deep and a mass of about 120 kg (264.6 lb). Specimen racks feed the decappers and support up to 50 specimens per rack, with rack dimensions of 126 mm deep, 265 mm long, and 65 mm high. Throughput reaches up to 700 samples per hour for rubber- and plastic-capped tubes, enabling high-volume decapping without compromising containment or workflow continuity.
