Description:

Beckwith Electric's M-2001D Digital Tapchanger Control is an updated version of the M-2001 line designed for LTC transformer and regulator applications, using interchangeable adapter panels to match the original control interface for straightforward retrofits. It provides modular digital control with Modbus, DNP3, and IEC 61850 communications, optional 10/100BaseT Ethernet (up to eight simultaneous sessions) and optional Fiber Ethernet, plus a front USB port and RS232/RS485 and fiber serial ports for field programming and remote monitoring. A SmartFlash SD card handles data logging and firmware updates, while features such as smart reverse power detection with VT configuration, demand metering, sequence-of-events recording, harmonic analysis, and CBEMA monitoring support secure, insightful operation. Four KeepTrack methods govern tap-position knowledge, and multiple transformer-paralleling schemes support coordination with other controls. Cybersecurity options include IPsec and RADIUS to align with NERC CIP requirements, and a Wake button can be programmed to cycle specific display screens for lineman use. The display options include an LCD rated for 20–70 °C or an optional Vacuum Fluorescent Display rated 40–80 °C. Its compact footprint is 5.81 in wide by 8.50 in high by 3.13 in deep, and it weighs 3.69 lb, making it a space-efficient LTC control that can replace or modernize regulator and transformer controls with compatible adapter panels.
