Bell & Gossett 87AUTO-VENT Automatic Air Vent

Bell & Gossett No. 87 Automatic Air Vent is a brass-bodied, float-type vent designed to automatically expel trapped air from hydronic heating and radiant systems. It features a 1/2" FNPT female inlet and a 3/4" MNPT male outlet and can be installed on a 1/2" nipple or into a 3/4" pipe connection. The vent is rated for a maximum working pressure of 150 psi and a maximum operating temperature of 240°F, making it suitable for most residential and light commercial hydronic circuits. As part of Bell & Gossett’s No. 87, 67, and 7 line, it continuously vents air as it accumulates to help prevent air pockets that can impair circulation and efficiency. For drainage of vented water in setups that require it, an overflow connector and a 1/4" copper tube can be used to direct flow to a drain; operate within the guidelines to avoid contaminants entering the vent mechanism during filling and to maintain reliable performance.
