Bihl+Wiedemann BWU3544 AS-Interface Ethernet Gateway

BWU3544 ASi-3 EtherNet/IP + ModbusTCP Gateway with integrated Safety Monitor is a dual-ASi-master gateway that ties ASi-3 networks to Ethernet-based controllers, enabling two ASi Masters to be controlled from EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP hosts. It offers a REST API for software integration and Safe Link for secure data exchange, with diagnostic and configuration access via Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP or the Ethernet diagnostic interface. The unit can be configured with 6 digital inputs or 3 × 2-channel safe inputs (SIL 3, CAT 4) and provides 6 release circuits for electronic safe outputs, expandable to larger counts up to 32 safe outputs (up to 992 safe outputs in max configuration) and correspondingly expanded safe inputs. Additional safety features include duplicate address recognition and an ASi fault detector, with optional C programming for custom logic, all housed in an IP20 enclosure.
