The Bimba 172-5DX is an Original Line air cylinder built around a 1.5-inch bore and a 5-inch stroke, placing it in the widely stocked 172 bore family. As part of the Original Line, it’s designed as a low-maintenance, non-repairable cylinder with a permanent grease lubricant that requires no additional lubrication during service. Bore options for Original Line cylinders range from 5/16 inch up to 3 inches, and the line supports a wide variety of mounting styles and stroke lengths, including the 5-inch stroke used by the 172-5DX, with standard stroke lengths published as 1/2, 1, 1-1/2, 2, 2-1/2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 inches.
