Bindicator VRFII-SG-EC-253-48 Level Switch is a VRF II Series capacitance probe that detects the presence or absence of bulk material in a vessel, delivering a reliable on/off signal via a main relay. The VRF II technology uses radio frequency capacitance to sense material while compensating for probe load and vessel conditions for stable sensitivity, with features like PRO-GUARD to ignore buildup and EZ-CAL II for quick calibration. This SG-EC-253-48 variant accepts universal power from 120–240 VAC (50/60 Hz) or 24–48 VDC, with typical power use around 10 W AC / 3 W DC in standard configurations (11 W AC / 4 W DC in advanced configurations). It provides a main DPDT relay rated up to 8 A at 240 VAC or 30 VDC (resistive), and in advanced units an auxiliary SPDT relay (0.46 A at 125 VAC or 1 A at 30 VDC). Installation supports adjustable time delay and sensitivity, with remote electronics that can be located up to 100 ft (30 m) from the probe, and dual conduit entries offered in 3/4" NPT or M20 x 1.5. Operating electronics temperature ranges from -40°C to 70°C, and the unit carries UL approvals for US/Canada and CE marking for ordinary locations or hazardous-area ratings, including explosion-proof and dust-ignition variants.
