Bio-Rad Microseal 'B' PCR Plate Sealing Film, MSB1001, is a clear, adhesive sealer for PCR plates that preserves sample integrity during thermal cycling and fluorescence assays. Supplied in a pack of 100 seals, the optically clear film adheres securely to polypropylene plates and supports both 96-well and 384-well formats, enabling reliable sealing at volumes as low as 10 µL per well (96-well) or 5 µL (384-well). It is compatible with unskirted or semi-skirted plates and can be used with automated plate handlers, making it suitable for high-throughput workflows. The seals are designed for storage and transport from ambient temperatures to as low as -40°C, and can be used before or after cycling. Bio-Rad notes compatibility with a broad range of thermal cyclers, including older Bio-Rad models such as iQ, Chromo4, and DNA Engine Opticon 2, as part of its legacy user guidance. As an adhesive sealing film, Microseal 'B' provides a robust barrier against evaporation while maintaining optical clarity for real-time detection, enabling seamless post-cycling access without removing the plate seal.
