Bit Commander US2000A Serial Ethernet Converter is a compact, two‑port gateway that ties RS232 devices and RS485 networks to an Ethernet LAN. Port 0 is RS232 and Port 1 is RS485, supporting baud rates from 110 to 256000 bps on the RS232 side and 110 to 1,024,000 bps on the RS485 side, with data bits 5–8, parity None/Odd/Even/Mark/Space, and stop bits 1 or 2; RS232 can use hardware RTS/CTS flow control, while RS485 offers automatic send control. An RJ45 Ethernet port with Auto‑MDI/MDIX and 2 kV isolation provides network connectivity, and the unit is built around an ARM Cortex‑M3 processor in a rugged aluminum housing with mounting holes for secure installation. By default the device can present two virtual COM ports to a PC (one RS232, one RS485) via included software and can be configured through a web browser or the supplied configuration utility. Supported network protocols include TCP Server/Client, UDP, HTTPD Client, DHCP, Web‑to‑serial, TCP Auto, Modbus TCP/RTU, and Telnet, making it suitable for integrating serial devices into SCADA, PLC, and IoT ecosystems; the converter ships with a default IP of 192.168.0.7 and an admin/admin login for initial setup, plus the ability to reboot remotely over TCP if needed. Power input is 5–18 VDC to fit into common industrial power rails.
