Black Box AC501A-R2 is a 4-channel CAT5 VGA video splitter central host module that broadcasts a single VGA source to up to four remote monitors over standard Category 5 UTP cable. The central unit accepts VGA input via an HD-15 connection and distributes it to four remote CAT5 VGA video splitters through four RJ-45 interconnects, supporting SVGA, VGA, XGA, and monochrome monitors at resolutions up to 1280×1024. Distance capabilities vary by configuration: standard remote links reach up to 360 feet (109.7 m) and long-range setups can extend to about 820 feet (249.9 m) over 24 AWG Cat5 cable. Designed for plug-and-play operation, this device requires no software installation.
