Description:

The Black Box ACS4001A-R2 ServSwitch KVM Extender is a dual-access DVI-D USB CATx extender kit that lets you control a computer from two locations over copper cabling. The transmitter connects to the computer and the receiver sits at the remote KVM site, so keyboard, mouse, and a DVI-D video signal can be extended up to 400 feet (121.9 m) over CAT5, CAT5e, or CAT6. The system carries USB HID for keyboard and mouse input and delivers DVI-D video up to 1920x1200 at 60 Hz, with 18- or 21-bit color depth. You can connect up to two DVI-D monitors to the computer and access the system from the remote console, enabling operation from either location. The dual-access design makes it suitable for remote management in settings such as data centers, labs, or control rooms where convenient local and remote control of a single CPU is required. As part of Black Box's ServSwitch family, ACS4001A-R2 uses CATx cabling to extend both the KVM signals and DVI-D video, preserving straightforward USB HID connectivity and standard video performance across the link.
