Black Box LIC023A-R2 is a standalone (or chassis-compatible) transceiver/media converter that bridges 10/100 Mbps copper Ethernet to 100 Mbps fiber, enabling fiber extension for legacy networks. It provides one RJ-45 copper port supporting 10/100Base-TX and one 1300 nm fiber port terminated with an SC connector, with a link distance up to 2 km on multimode fiber. The unit is rail-mountable for 19-inch racks and can operate as a standalone module or within a Black Box chassis, making it suitable for industrial installations where copper devices must reach a fiber backbone.
