Description:
BLH Electronics C2P1 Compression Load Cell is a high-capacity canister-style sensor designed to measure large compressive forces with a 50,000 lb (50K) rated capacity. This BLH Nobel/BLH Electronics family unit delivers a standard 2.0 mV/V output, with input and output resistance of 350 Ω (±3.5%), and is available with either 10- or 35-ft cable assemblies. Suitable for demanding industrial and test applications, the C2P1 is sealed to IP67 for protection against dust and water ingress, and operates over a safe temperature range of −30°F to +175°F (compensated range: +30°F to +130°F). Electrical excitation recommended is 10 VAC-DC. The device uses a high-grade tool steel or stainless steel measurement element with a canister of low-carbon steel (painted) or stainless options, and it offers a safe overload of 150% of rated capacity and an ultimate overload of 300%. At a rated 50k capacity, deflection is 0.0065 inches, contributing to stiffness and accuracy under load. The C2P1 family also carries options for cFMus certification and NTEP approval. Capacities in the line range from 20k to 500k lb, with similar performance characteristics across models, enabling engineers to select the exact rating needed for their system.
