Bogen Communications DFT-120 Digital Terminator

The Bogen DFT120 Digital Feedback Terminator is a paging-system audio recorder that eliminates acoustical feedback by recording a page and replaying it once the handset is back on-hook, effectively breaking the loop between the telephone handset and paging speaker. It provides 240 seconds of total memory (16 messages, up to 1 minute per message) and supports recording during playback, with optional pre-page tone, message repeat, abort/stop, and adjustable delays between messages. The unit accepts a loop-start trunk or 4-wire dry-loop input and offers selectable outputs of 8 ohms (power) or 600 ohms (line), with transformer-isolated audio output and an output capability of 0.125 W into 8 ohms or +4 dBm into 600 ohms; DTMF tones used for zone-control are stripped from the message and regenerated on playback. Power is supplied from a 12 V DC source (1 A) included with the unit, and the chassis measures about 10 in W x 6-3/4 in H x 1-1/2 in D, weighing roughly 3 lb, with RJ-11 and two-piece pluggable terminal connections for installation.
