The Bogen VRS3 vandal-resistant speaker is a 3-inch weather-resistant cone-type loudspeaker mounted on a #12-gauge stainless-steel faceplate with three interwoven steel screens, built for hands-free two-way communications. It uses a 25V transformer with taps at 0.25W, 0.5W, and 1W, with a bypass option for 8-ohm operation to fit various network configurations, and includes a heavy-duty metal push-button switch that protrudes from the faceplate for initiating a call to a control center (wired as a momentary contact closure if required). The faceplate measures 5-1/2 inches high by 7-1/2 inches wide and is designed to mount to a three-gang box (approximately 5-13/16" L x 4" W x 2-1/8" H), with an alternative surface-mount option available via Quam SE3GVP enclosure for non-wall installations.
