Boston Gear F721-10-B5-G Gear Reducer
Boston Gear F721-10-B5-G Gear Reducer
Description:
Boston Gear F721-10-B5-G is a 700 Series single-reduction worm gear speed reducer with a 56C frame and a C-face input, delivering a 10:1 reduction to power machinery with a compact right-angle layout. It accepts up to 1 HP input at speeds to 1,750 RPM and provides about 175 RPM at the output, with a maximum output torque of 320 in-lb. The input shaft diameter is 5/8 in and the output shaft is 1 in, with a round, projecting output on the left side. The integral worm and shaft are made from case-hardened alloy steel, and the gear set is hardened and ground steel for durability. The cast-iron housing is finished with powder-coated epoxy, and the unit uses double-lip seals and tapered roller bearings to meet AGMA worm-gear standards. Multiplace mounting is supported, and the reducer can rotate CW or CCW, enabling flexible installation in various orientations. Center distances and fitment dimensions for planning include a worm center distance of 2.06 in and a base-to-shaft center of about 2.28 in. Lubrication is Klubersynth UH1 6-460, and the design is intended for direct coupling to a compatible 56C motor via a rigid or flexible connection.
