Description:

Branson 2000D-AED Ultrasonic Actuator is a member of Branson’s 2000 Series Ultrasonic Assembly Systems, designed for manual, semi-automatic, or fully automated plastic joining with ultrasonic energy and paired with the 2000DT power supply. It operates at 40 kHz and is available in 0.4 kW or 0.8 kW output models, with a 120 VAC input when used with the 2000DT supply, delivering precise energy delivery for repeatable welds. The actuator can be mounted directly to a machine frame, on a fixed column and hub, or as a stand-alone base with ergonomic palm-button switches, enabling flexible work-cell configurations. It incorporates Branson’s amplitude-stepping technology and an improved UPS power supply module with closed-loop circuitry to enhance performance, consistency, and reliability, complemented by a new 4-line vacuum fluorescent display for setup, operation, and troubleshooting and enhanced data management capabilities. The 2000D-AED family is offered across frequencies of 20, 30, and 40 kHz, with 40 kHz units listed in 400 W and 800 W variants to support a range of part sizes and material types. Typical applications include welding, staking, insertion, swaging, forming, spot welding, degating, cutting, and sealing, enabling precise control of weld amplitude and stroke to achieve consistent joint quality across production lines.
