Brocade Communications Systems BR-MLX-MR2-M MLX Management Module

The Brocade BR-MLX-MR2-M MLX Management Module is a dedicated control and management processor for Brocade MLX series core routers. It provides centralized system management, configuration control, and monitoring for the MLX chassis infrastructure. This module is installed as a chassis slot module with an MLX chassis backplane connection and supports redundant management modules for high availability. It is designed for enterprise and service provider networks where MLX routers act as core or aggregation devices, with typical deployments in ISP backbones, data-center routing, telecommunications systems, and large enterprise networks. Common replacements include Brocade BR-MLX-MR and BR-MLX-X-MR, as well as Cisco N7K-SUP1 Supervisor Module.
